Nowadays, there is an increasing in the awareness of most customers for upgrading of their traditional apparel needs to be smart for enhancing their life. Nanomaterials create an opportunity for manufacturing of multifunctional textile with sustainable durability that can be integrated to smart textile. Smart textiles are fabrics featured by their potency to perceive and commit responses to the foreign external stimuli so as to harmonize themselves to changes in surrounding. Manipulating nanoparticulated materials gives rise to a novel functionality for intelligent fabrics, encompassing self-cleaning and self-healing ability, which would an essential for preserving the textile and apparel manufacture. Beside comfort and flexibility of these produced fabrics, self-thermoregulation is also one of the main functional properties belongs to the intelligent clothes, which has grown rapidly last years. Nanoparticles also pay a greater application potential to make adjunctive garments that can judgement and act to external stimuli. This is accomplished by innovating either techniques or devices for building up novel finishing substances e.g. conducting composites, carbon nanotubes and nanoparticle coatings and fibers. The latter functional properties employ their usage to varied fields such as medical (healthcare), sport activities, militaristic employments and fashion making. As per nano-smart textiles, the customer and the environment might be closely monitored by continuously updating the status of bearable hazards with safety protection to the apparel wearing customers. The current review addresses the concept of smart textile and the role of nanotechnology in enhancement our daily life through integrating textiles with nanoparticles for smart textiles fabrication.
