Title Review of the System Design Process and Implementation Tools – Capella Software
Type Presentation
Keywords Systems Engineering, Capella Software, System Design, Model-Based, MBSE.
Abstract The increasing complexity of systems has driven the development of Systems Engineering, a discipline widely applied in designing complex systems. This field focuses on creating optimized design methodologies and continues to evolve. To support this discipline, platforms have been developed to streamline design processes, enhance information sharing among team members, provide stakeholder documentation, and manage workflows. Among these, Capella software stands out as a highly effective tool. Built on the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach, Capella facilitates clear visualization of system interactions, functionalities, and design details. This study reviews prior research utilizing Capella, provides an overview of systems engineering and its phases, details associated documentation, and explores Capella’s software components and diagram types. It lays the groundwork for future research in the aerospace sector.
