Abstract

In this work, a system of two nonlinear integro-differential equations which arises in biology is considered and the well-known Jacobi functions are implemented for finding the solution of this system. An approximation of the unknown function is considered in terms of Jacobi wavelets functions with unknown coefficients, which must be determined. By substituting this approximation into the equation, a system of algebraic equations is obtained. The proposed method is quite accurate. Numerical example is given to illustrate the applicability, efficiency, and accuracy of the new scheme.
