Abstract
|
In the stress-strength model, the reliability of a system is the probability that its strength exceeds its stress. In this paper, we focus on estimating the stress-strength reliability model when the strength variable is subjected to the step-stress partially accelerated life test. Based on the assumption that both stress and strength are independent random variables and follow the Rayleigh distribution, the inferences for the reliability of this system are constructed. The maximum likelihood estimator of reliability system, its asymptotic confidence interval and bootstrap confidence interval are discussed. A simulation study is conducted to compare the proposed estimation methods developed here and also check the accuracy of the results.
